Overview

SkyePoint Decisions has an immediate opening for a Senior SharePoint Developer with custom-coding experience to support the continued development of an agency-wide workforce planning tool for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The workforce planning tool is currently in the O&M phase, and the client plans to release one major upgrade annually which addresses customer feedback and new requirements. The Senior SharePoint Developer will provide full-time, on-site support to EPA’s Office of Human Resources located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed programming specifications, and program, test and debug complex applications and/or systems programs
  • Work with the customer to understand and evaluate requirements
  • Solve business problems with innovative ideas
  • Provide custom development necessary when requirements exceed out of the box capabilities.
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful and able to work with little to no supervision
  • Ability to work individually or in teams
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Provide detailed and clear documentation on all products
  • Design, development and deployment of SharePoint apps across the environments.
  • Developing custom web parts and integrating enterprise content with SharePoint.
  • Developing SharePoint solutions leveraging JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, XSL and XML, HTML, CSS, C#, and .NET in the creation of custom solutions, including complex workflows or Web parts.
  • Creating automated business solutions using SharePoint Forms/Nintex forms and workflows, as needed.
  • Produce PowerShell scripts to automate regular tasks, produce reports, simplify complex tasks and fix problems, as needed.
  • Researching and evaluating alternative solutions and recommending the most efficient and cost effective solution considering requirements, available SharePoint technology and Governance and Best Practice guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience and/or certifications.
  • Must have at least eight (8) years of experience as a computer programmer, at least five (5) years of which were spent specializing in developing detailed programming specifications, and programming, testing and debugging complex applications and/or systems programs. Education can be substituted for years of experience
  • Must have demonstrated technical writing and presentation capabilities and skills.
  • At least 5 or more years of experience with advanced knowledge and in-depth understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013 and SharePoint 2016 (desired), SharePoint Designer; and exposure to Office 365 SharePoint Online.
  • Extensive SharePoint 2010 and 2013 workflow design, development, debugging experience.
  • Extensive OOTB (Out of the Box) features implantation.
  • At least 2 years of hands on experience in design, development and deployment of SharePoint 2013 provided hosted apps and other apps development using CSOM/JSOM.
  • At least 2 years of experience with developing business process and solutions using Nintex Forms and Workflows.
  • Experience with UI and Branding and ability to develop using jQuery, Javascript, CSS, HTML5, BootStrap and responsive design standards.
  • Strong hands on experience with custom workflows, Business Intelligence dashboards, Site collections, Sub sites, Master Pages, Lists, Custom Lists, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft .NET technology stack.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, PDF, XML, HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in creating reports, scorecards, and dashboards for Business Intelligence using Excel, Power Pivot, SQL Server Reporting Services or any such tools.
  • Must have direct experience implementing and supporting Microsoft SharePoint based solutions.
  • Experience working with third party tools.
