    SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is seeking a .NET Developer to join our team and to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Joint Operations Center (JOC) Enterprise Telephone Data Warehouse (ETD) project. ETD serves as the Central Data Repository (Warehouse) and reporting portal for the contact center. This position can be located in either New Carrollton, MD or Atlanta, GA. The ETD Team is comprised of SQL/ASP/VB.Net programmers who support and maintain the data repository site for telephone service data which allows clients to track their level of customer service and telephone statistics. In addition to the data repository, the ETD Team also performs operations support, web and database development.

     

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting software development and oversight within a complex enterprise environment with classic ASP that provides an accelerated, and accurate, solution delivery across multiple simultaneous active projects, in traditional waterfall. The products provided to the client are in either Microsoft Excel or HTML. The client's vision is to convert to an agile .Net environment. This role requires comprehensive SDLC understanding and demonstrated successes tailoring corporate level SDLC in compliance with the customer’s SDLC as well as the ability to conform to established procedures. The team is currently functioning under Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Level 3.

    Responsibilities

    • Support report development in ASP VB.net and SQL Server 2014.
    • Support the design and development of new environment implementation based on VB.Net and SQL Server 2014.
    • Support and create data flows with SQL Server Integration Services and Data Transformation Services.
    • Support ETD team with technical issues and break-fix resolution.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with web code and stored procedures.
    • Create tables, views, indexes, database links, stored procedures and other data base objects as needed.
    • Create and maintain detailed SOPs, configuration documents, test plans and additional system documentation as needed.
    • Importing and exporting data to and from database servers.
    • Implement Agile/Scrum practices.
    • Serve as technical liaison between ETD and the Enterprise Operations (EOPS) SAs and/or DBAs.
    • Responsibilities also include providing technical guidance, advising, and mentoring staff for new report development techniques and technologies such as Agile framework supported by rapid development methodologies, applying security principles, implementing new VB.Net APIs, and preparing and presenting reports to Government staff and to the program’s Program Manager.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills are critical requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years development experience. An additional 4 years of experience in large enterprise environments may be substituted in lieu of degree.
    • 4+ years of experience using VB.Net.
    • 6+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL (environment currently on 2014).
    • Must have strong analytical skills.
    • Must be able to clearly communicate (both verbally and written).
    • Must have strong critical thinking, operations, systems analysis and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to obtain a Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (US Citizenship or Green Card status required.

    • Experience/exposure to a variety of development languages including: XML, Visual Basic, Visual Basic.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, XSL, VBScript, JavaScript, C#, ADO.NET and ADO data access with SQL Server databases in a Windows Server networking environment.
    • Experience with Cisco Intelligent Contact Manager.

    • Experience with Cisco Customer Voice Portal.

    • Experience with Microsoft SQL 2014.

    • Experience with Visual Studio 2015.

    • Experience with database design.

    • Experience as a System Administrator.

    • Ability to monitor and maintain data and storage utilization.

    • Ability to perform SQL performance tuning.
