  • Overview

    SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated team member to fill the role of Cyber Tool Engineer. The selected individual will determine the tools and technology needed to operate the CIC and support the use-cases that will be monitored by CIC personnel.  Design, develop, and implement cybersecurity tools and technology to support consumption of data into the CIC.  Configure IRM-owned tools and technology to support consumption of data into the CIC.  

    Responsibilities

    • Support Tool Research and Acquisition
    • Actively participate and represent the Agency in Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Management Tool projects to ensure their effective support of Agency functions
    • Support Cybersecurity/System Tool Configuration Management
    • Cybersecurity Tool Design and Development:
      • SIEM Architecture
      • New SIEM Event Source Integration
      • Custom Built Tools
      • Open Source Tools
    • System/Tool Configuration Management:
      • SIEM Configuration and Changes
      • Cybersecurity Device Configurations and Changes
      • Vulnerability Analyses and Patching Guidance
      • OS/Device/Application/Host Hardening
      • Firewall Configuration and IDS/IPS Signatures

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Security or relevant field
    • Active Top Secret Clearance; higher clearances preferred and can be held
    • 3+ years of knowledge and related experience in the following tools:
      • Event Management or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
      • Remedy
      • Palo Alto
      • Splunk
      • Active Directory
      • SCOM
      • SCCM
      • SEP
      • Bromium
      • Forescout
      • CISCO Iron Port
      • Network Design
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
    • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize duties based on shifting demands
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Knowledge/Experience:

      • Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence and Monitoring
      • Gap analysis and recommendation of tools
      • Log Analysis Specialist or Security Analyst
      • CISSP

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Program Manager
