  • Overview

    SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the SkyePoint team in efforts related to an Information Assurance Professional to support the DOS.


    The selected individual will develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Information System Contingency Plans (ISCP) and other required documentation required for FISMA.  In addition to, they will ensure systems are maintained in accordance with SSPs.


    • Bachelor’s degree or additional years of experience
    • Active Top Secret required
    • 10+ years or related professional experience
    • Experience in creating reports to meet FISMA, NIST and other applicable Legislative requirements and Federal Mandates
    • Experience with Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation methodologies and standards (DIACAP, NIST etc.)
    • Experience in performing internal assessments
    • Experience with performing vulnerability management (assessment /analysis)
    • Experience with POA&M remediation processes
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Publisher)
    • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint administration 
    • Experience interfacing with senior leadership through providing advice to make informed decisions
    • Experience interacting with various entities (Government and Contractor) throughout an organization to act as a liaison for security related issues and collect required data points in order to accomplish organizational objectives 
    • CISSP

     Preferred Experience:

    • Prior engineering experience is a definite plus
    • Experience in developing program management schedules and performance measures in order to accomplish specific goals in alignment with the strategic plans of the organization;
    • Experience in writing system security plans, technical descriptions, continuity plans, and other similar compliance related documents;
    • Experience in developing processes, documentation templates, organizational flows and standard operating procedures;
    • Experience in documenting and managing quality assurance practices for processes and products, including independent reviews
    • Experience in documenting program risks, to include internal and external influences
    • A solid understanding of NIST publications (e.g., SP, FIPS, etc.), especially those pertaining to the FISMA compliance (e.g., SP 800-53 rev 4, SP 800-37, SP 800-60, SP-800—18, etc.)
    • Experience with the creation, application, and validation of security controls baselines 
    • Experience in the research and interpretation of security configuration guides and policies to see how they apply to the environment
    • ITIL Foundation Experience preferred but not required
    • Security+
