  • Overview

    SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. has a need for a highly motivated individual to fill the role of a Siebel Product Services Engineer in McLean, VA. The qualified applicant will support the Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA’s customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Supports the existing Siebel CRM application and capabilities to be used on the Program, including working with the customer to obtain and maintain the tools and services necessary to support current functionalities in the Siebel applications and its associated interfaces
    • Performs development of fixes and troubleshoot issues in existing Siebel IP 2016 based applications, Oracle BI publisher based reports, Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) and web services written on Oracle SOA platform
    • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
    • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
    • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
    • Participates in installations, patches/updates, provides problem resolution, and supports users in the use of Siebel CRM application tools used on the Program
    • Participates in requirements management, system modeling, configuration management, and other systems engineering activities as appropriate

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field and ten (10) years’ experience
    • At least 5 years of experience supporting and developing Siebel CRM applications (using at least version 8.1x, or higher such as IP 2015/2016, experienced developing Siebel OpenUI based interfaces
    • Hands on experience in Siebel application configuration, development of Siebel workflows and integration based capabilities using EAI, and Oracle SOA based web services
    • Experience in Siebel Server Administration and patching of multiple environments
    • Experience actively supporting requirements definition and design of large-scale software systems
    • Experience working in agile development environments
    • Must have a current, active Secret (or higher) clearance

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Experience having planned and established a similar engineering environment
    • Experience supporting system development, integration and test
    • Experience  of software development methodologies, practices, and tools
    • Experience using engineering environments and tools that support agile development, and especially SAFe, such as JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, Confluence, CAST software to perform software quality testing and Oracle Application Testing Suite
