  • Overview

    SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is seeking an Oracle Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in McLean, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA’s customers.


    • Perform Oracle product administration, including Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Database, and Siebel Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products used on the Program
    • Troubleshoot issues in existing CA systems/applications (including COTS), Oracle and Microsoft products, Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases and/or other middleware tools
    • Evaluate and apply patches and updates
    • Participate in installation/configuration, patches/updates, and problem resolution for Oracle products, including Siebel CRM products and tools, Microsoft products and/or other commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products
    • Create automated configuration/update scripts using puppet or other scripting language
    • Create/maintain system documentation


    • Must have a current, active Secret (or higher) clearance.  An interim clearance may be considered.
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years’ experience
    • At least three (3) years of experience maintaining Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Database, Siebel CRM products or similar products in a production environment
    • Hands on experience evaluating and installing of patches/security updates to Oracle or other COTS products
    • Hands on experience in application performance monitoring
    • Hands on experience writing detailed deployment instructions

    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Experience writing automated configuration/update scripts using puppet or other scripting language
    • Experience in Siebel application configuration, development of Siebel workflows and integration based capabilities using EAI, and Oracle SOA based web services
    • Experience in Siebel Server Administration and patching of multiple environments
    • Experience maintaining Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL databases
    • Experience maintaining Microsoft Sharepoint sites
    • Experience maintaining Microsoft Dynamics applications
    • Experience deploying applications into production environments
    • Knowledge of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) security guidelines
    • Experience using engineering environments and tools that support agile development, such as JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, and Confluence
    • Experience working as a member of an Agile team
