    SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, independent, team player to fill the role of F5 Network Security Engineer to support the DOS in Springfield, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Configure and implement F5 technologies
    • Configure and maintain F5 LTM and GTM devices both hardware and virtual
    • Perform load balancing configuration for F5 devices
    • Identify configurations of existing F5 appliances and document via Spreadsheet and Visio
    • Assist with creation of implementation plans of new F5 management network
    • Assist with maintenance of F5 devises for load balancing, PIV authentication and high availability/disaster recovery
    • Communicate network security-related task status and issues to non-technical staff members and managers
    • Work collaboratively with other network engineers
    • Identify configurations of existing F5 appliances and document via Spreadsheet and Visio

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret Clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret)
    • Proficient in F5 Networks technologies, including LTM and GTM (and understands VCMP).
    • Proficient using F5 components to protect against advanced DDoS attacks and other intrusions.
    • Basic understanding of DNS infrastructure including root servers, Bind, DNS-SEC.
    • Understand complex interconnections with F5 component and other enterprise network technologies.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
    • 5+ years’ experience, Information Technology focusing networking
    • 5+ years’ experience, TCP/IP, OSI Model
    • 5+ years’ experience, Networking + Cert
    • 3+ years’ experience, Experience with VIPs, Pools, Session
    • 3+ years’ experience, Knowledge of updating iRules
    • 3+ years’ experience, Strong network troubleshooting experience
    • 3+ years’ experience, Visio documentation
    • 3+ years’ experience, F5 GTM and LTM device management
    • 3+ years’ experience, Virtual F5 server management

    Preferred Skills/Certifications:

    • Experience with configuration and implementation of firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Stonegates)
    • Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCSP/CCDP/CCIE
    • Palo Alto Certification
    • CompTIA Network+, Security+ Certifications
    • F5 Certified Solution Expert (F5-CSE)
