Responsibilities

This is a contingent position based upon customer approval and funding.

As a SkyePoint employee you will be given the opportunity to design, configure, and deploy some of the IT industry’s latest products and services to ensure that our most critical customers maintain the ability to securely communicate and collaborate to meet mission demands.  In your new role you will share and partner with other like-minded, dedicated professionals to review your thoughts and ideas to improve upon and deploy new enterprise IT infrastructures and configurations. You will utilize not only your existing enterprise IT skills and talents to meet your customer’s needs, but also draw upon those new skills that you will learn in your new role. Your ideas and contributions will matter.


What can you achieve and how you will make a difference

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and messaging issues in an enterprise environment.
  • Complete standard and emergency changes following established processes.
  • Monitor system alerts and perform periodic system health checks.
  • Develop and report usage metrics.
  • Perform as a subject-matter expert. Make recommendations, participate in requirements development, testing and analysis in pre-production environments.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and agency guidelines. Provide recommendations and inputs for improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members.
  • Create, develop and enhance technical documentation.

Qualifications

The Talent You Bring with these Qualifications 

  • BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience;
  • 7+ years of related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of large scale Microsoft Active Directory deployment and maintenance and DNS.
  • SQL Server experience
  • Experience with Rights Management Service (RMS) / Microsoft Information Protection (MIP)
  • Experience with building redundancy with RMS / MIP is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Office 365, Skype, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Windows Server 2012, 2019
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:

  • Microsoft certifications (MCTS, Exchange, Office 365, Skype for Business, etc.)
  • CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft PowerShell scripting
