Responsibilities

SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is a growing company seeking a highly motivated Finance and Payroll Manager in our Dulles, VA office. This person will report to the Chief Finance Officer and oversee financial programs to include, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis; AP, AR, and payroll administration; regulatory compliance, audits and tax administration; and retirement plans and ERISA compliance. This manager works closely with resources across the organization including HR, Operations, Quality, and Growth to ensure financial health by monitoring cross-functional reports, analyzing trends, and identifying/mitigating potential risk management issues that may impact overall financial and operations performance.

This individual must be willing to work full-time in the Dulles, VA office.

  • Lead business-wide budget development, performance assessment, and periodic forecasting process
  • Work in close consultation with HR department to determine payroll inputs and changes
  • Accurately and timely prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for two pay groups utilizing the Paycor or similar platform; Create on-demand pay for any approved actions outside of the standard payroll cycle
  • Define and document business processes, implement as needed, and continuously improve
  • Implement best practices and procedures to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency
  • Perform assessments of current business systems and implement improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness including integration across the organization; Evaluate new systems and provide recommendations to meet current and future business needs
  • Initiate and maintain State business and tax registrations and compliance meeting statutory regulations as required based on employee population
  • Retrieve and reconcile all tax reports on a quarterly basis
  • Support audits including financial statements, 401(k), and workers compensation
  • Manage accounts payable process, vendor relations, and vendor payments
  • Participate in system evaluations to improve business
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding Unanet or payroll and resolve issues or concerns

 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years’ experience in Finance and Payroll Administration
  • Experience using Unanet is highly preferred including use of Analytics
  • Expert level attention to detail with strong analytical and organization skills
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience using payroll platforms 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present confidently and effectively to employees, leadership, and auditors
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in an environment of multiple responsibilities
  • Able to independently solve problems and make sound financial decisions
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Compensation:

Salary Range: 95,000 - 115,000

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package. 

Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for an incentive compensation bonus plan.
